Originally from California, I've proudly called North Carolina home since 2018. My career began in youth services, where I worked with young girls living in group homes, helping them build the independence, confidence, and self-worth to move forward in their lives. I later moved into law enforcement, where I strengthened my communication, empathy, and trust-building skills within diverse communities.
Those experiences led me to my true calling: school counseling. Since 2000, I've guided high school students through academic decisions, college admissions, and career planning. I still work as a high school counselor today, which keeps me close to current admissions trends, curriculum, and the real pressures students and families face.
My philosophy is simple: every student has their own path. Hard work and commitment matter, but so do self-care, personal growth, and finding a fit that supports the whole student. At Vantagepoint, I combine that belief with more than 25 years of hands-on experience to give each family personal, honest, and strategic guidance.
